Emirates has now opened its 2nd dedicated First Class Lounge at Dubai Airport Terminal 3 making it the 4th dedicated premium Emirates Lounge in Dubai.

The new Emirates Lounge, located at Dubai Airport Concourse 1 in front of the Business Class Lounge, will facilitate easy and seamless travel for First Class passengers who may be departing from any of the 14 gates located in Concourse 1. Passengers now have an additional choice and can access a lounge more conveniently located to their departure gates.

Dubai Airports new Emirates lounge design is modern and in keeping with Emirates’ multi-award winning First Class Lounge in Concourse 2, embodying Emirate’s dedication to providing its passengers with superior service and quality. With a contemporary design aesthetic, and a timeless colour palette that has evolved from Emirates’ international lounge design, the new lounge is an oasis of luxury and comfort.

The 1058 square metre Emirates lounge at Dubai Airport boasts a wide array of passenger amenities including a quiet zone with 8 recliners, two 55 and 65 inch LED TVs, plush leather armchairs, a choice of formal or relaxed seating, two dining areas, shower facilities, a business centre with 4 individual work stations, wireless LAN connectivity within the lounge, a water feature, contemporary artwork, a smoking area and the hallmark courteous service from dedicated lounge staff that completes the distinctive experience.

Passengers can enjoy an a-la-carte service from an extensive menu of complimentary hot and cold gourmet dishes having the choice of formal or informal seating in the dining area, accompanied by a full bar service including premium beverages.

The new Emirates lounge facilities at Dubai Airport are available to all Emirates’ First Class passengers and features Italian marble flooring, high-quality leather sourced from Europe, and gold-plated Rolex wall clocks from Geneva. The lounge also offers a custom-made Braille/tactile signage for the visually-impaired.

With the opening of the new First Class Lounge at Dubai Airport, Emirates now operates 29 dedicated lounges around its 6-continent network including lounges in Auckland, Bangkok, Beijing, Birmingham, Brisbane, 4 lounges in Dubai, Delhi, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, Kuala Lumpur, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Manchester, Munich, Melbourne, Mumbai, New York – JFK, Paris – Charles de Gaulle, Perth, Singapore, Sydney, Shanghai and Zurich.

    We would recommend that you stay at the Hotel in Dubai Airport. Many passengers in your situation use the Dubai Airport hotel for this reason.

    To get a quote for the Dubai International Hotel Click here and fill in the relevant dates. Unfortunately the drop down currency menu at the top of that page does not include south african rand but there is various other to choose from.

    We also recommend that you get in touch directly with the airline you are travelling with (Emirates) regarding whether or not you will require a Visa for Dubai as they will be able to provide you with one if need be. As you are flying with Emirates they may also be able to give you a discount if you decide to use one of their lounges at Dubai Airport which are not only for the use of first class passengers.

    we are flying from copenhagen to Dubai on 8th january 2012 arriving at Dubai airport around midnight and flying out again at around 10 on 9th january 2012.

    Where can we stay during this long wait, kindly note we are south african citizens.

    Is there somewhere at Dubai airport we can stay for the night without a visa for dubai, does dubai airport have lounges with private rooming areas?

    I would appreciate your response, we are flying Emriates.

    Also, is the emirates lounge only for 1st class passengers, what is the cost of the lounge area for around 10 hours in south african rands

    Are south african citizens permitted to stay in the hotel at Dubai airport, what would the cost be in rands
