  1. Dear Akash,

Please contact the airline you are travelling with regarding this as they will be able to advise you further on what you must do or whether or not you require a visa etc.

  2. Akash says:

I am travelling to Dubai by indigo airlines which arrives on terminal 1 on 30 may and will be in transit as I am taking a Austrian airlines flight to vienna after six hours on the same terminal. I have check in luggage, how do I take my luggage from arrival luggage belt and transfer to departure check in counter of Austrian airlines. Both the arrival and departure are on terminal one, will I need a transit visa, ok to board.
I am staying in Dubai for three nights on my way back from vienna, but since the Dubai visa is single entry that will not help.
    Please advise what to do.

  3. Dear Maria,

You may travel around Dubai Airport’s terminals as you wish, you will of course need to check in at Terminal 3 first before going through to the departurea area facilities.

I arrive Terminal 1 and depart Terminal 3. I have 8 hours between flight times. I would like to move freely between the two terminals, for lounge time and rest and shopping. may I move freely between the two terminals? Do I need to check in with my airlines at Terminal 3 first and then can visit the other areas of the airport?
    Thank you,
    Ms. Maria

  5. Hello Adeel,

We advise you to contact the airline you are travelling with to Dubai Airport first as they may be able to organise the transfer of your luggage for you even though it is a different airline that you are flying out of Dubai Airport on.

If they can not do this for you they will let you know exactly what you must do.

    Regards

    Hello,

I don’t know if this is the right place to ask my question as I have tried my best to find my answer all over this website.

My question is If I am arriving in Dubai Terminal 1 and suppose to get another flight on same terminal but the problem is my both flights are not connecting in that case, How should I transfer my luggages to other flight ? Can I collect my luggage before exit or immigration ? or Does Dubai airport has facility to transfer luggage from one non connecting flight to other one with in same terminal 1 ? Or Do I need to get transit visa to collect my luggage ?

    Regards
    Adeel
