Burj Dubai Tower moves closer to completion

The World’s tallest tower in Dubai is moving closer to completion. The developer building the world’s tallest skyscraper in Dubai says cladding work on the shiny silver-colored tower’s outside is complete.

Completion of the aluminum and glass facade marks a key milestone for Emaar Properties, which is racing to meet a self-imposed deadline to have the Burj Dubai complete by the end of the year.

The Burj Dubai, Arabic for “Dubai Tower,” stands more than 2,600 feet (800 meters) tall, though Emaar has yet to confirm its final height.

The Burj Dubai tower will have the highest public observation deck in the world located on the 124th floor and feature unobstructed 360 degree views of Dubai, an  interactive tour charting the evolution of Dubai and the Burj Dubai itself will also be available.

There has been rumours that The Burj Dubai is expected to open in December to coincide with UAE National Day on December 2nd.
