Emirates Airways has confirmed that Rio de Janeiro will soon be linked with Dubai Airport by a faster non-stop daily service which is to begin operation on the 3rd of January next year. Buenos Aires will become an extension of this daily service from Rio de Janeiro which will mean that passengers can connect faster to Buenos Aires from the United Arab Emirates.
Emirate Airline’s Chairman and Chief Executive, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoukm said: “Both Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro are rightly renowned as world-class leisure destinations as well as important business and trading centres. Our research has shown that there is a high demand for these cities from across our network”
The route between Dubai and Rio de Janeiro-Buenos Aires will be served by the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. This is configured with 3 classes that include Business Class and First Class. There are 8 Private Suites in First Class, and 42 Business Class seats per aircraft. The Business seats recline fully to become lie-flat beds that enhance the comfort for the Business traveller.
The cabins will be equipped with an on-demand passenger entertainment system that will provide passengers with up to 1,200 channels to choose from. Both audio and visual entertainment will be provided for passengers travelling from Dubai to Rio de Janeiro to enjoy throughout the flight.
Argentina’s Minster of Tourism, Carlos Enrique Meyer said: “Emirates’ plans to implement services from Dubai to Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro will play an important role in increasing tourism, trade and investment between Argentina, Brazil and the UAE, in addition to the airline’s vast global network.”
